Ruth Anne and her husband Dave's military background called for a salute, especially since the sun was in my eyes. She was telling us about her parachute jumps right about now, in the parking lot of the Bob Evans just off I-40. It was on their way back from the beach, but they chose this exit to get off and have lunch so Ruth Anne and I could meet.
Yep, I've met another great blogfriend (and my official Pun-Dit to boot). And her seemingly infinitely patient husband, and her sharp-as-a-tack mom (also a blogger), and her three small kids with the most amazing pale red-gold hair -- including the miraculous four-year-old twins who entered the world weighing about one and two pounds and survived ordeals on the scale of Jacques' before they were even scheduled to be born. You'd never know it. Two bubbly, busy little girls and their "big" brother, all with manners that would stop you in your tracks. I don't think any two adults have been addressed with such excruciating respect since 1890.
We live maybe one and a half hours apart, so this isn't over.
Ruth Anne also sees me as an "Auntie." My Auntarchy is growing!
Fantastic photo of the two of you out and about! I can well imagine that you had a great time with Ruth Anne's family.

I love stories about bloggers meeting up. I've yet to have the opportunity to meet my co-bloggers in person, and we've been working closely together for over a year now.

If "avuncular" means "like an uncle," would the female form be "avauntular?"

Exactly as I would have imagined, right down to the Bob Evans parking lot.
Thanks for sharing the blog love.

Would your home country be Auntarctica?
[Gotta' earn my pun-dit title!]
I'll have to blog the Paul Harvey version.

HI Annie and Josh,
Thank you for the nice compliment !! It was such a pleasure to meet both of you. I know your life can be difficult at times, but you seem to be the person to handle it well. So hapy to read that Josh has had a few good days lately. Maybe things will keep improving for both of you. Will give you more time to do some of your favorite things.
Keep the faith, Annie.
