No joke. That's pretty shocking; he was only 28. One immediately thinks "drugs," and indeed there were pills "strewn across his bedroom" in his SoHo apartment in New York, but one CNN report said they were only "over-the-counter sleeping pills." He was discovered by a housekeeper trying to wake hi for a scheduled massage. No word on whether his death was accidental or intentional.
He leaves a tiny daughter, Matilda. He split from her mother, Michelle WIlliams, last year. Same old sad celebrity story.
Wow, that's sad. We just last night saw a preview for the new Batman coming out this summer in which Ledger plays the Joker. I thought he was a damn good actor.
