Passing the transatlantic torch to his admirer Sarkozy, perhaps.
But Sarkozy won't be able to replace his way with the English language, what I for one will miss about him most. Especially when even his admirers admit our own leader is lamentably tongue-tied, Blair's eloquence was like salve on a wound.


Like all great British PM's, Blair will be remembered more fondly here than there.
I've always liked him, and he gets big props in my mind for the peace in Northern Ireland, as well as for saving the queen's royal arse.
