What effect would it have had on the American public's resolve in WWII had we been able to watch, on primetime TV in full color, the incineration of defenseless civilians in Dresden?
(Hat tip for the thought: True Ancestor.)
To the commenters who say it wouldn't have made a damn bit of difference: then why are so many so deeply shaken by the sight of dead Lebanese children that they've joined the cries for an immediate and total ceasefire? Is it because we've had the luxury of getting soft? Or because those people don't get what's at stake? Or, as previously conjectured, because it's Jews doing that part of the killing? Or because of the unholy marriage of Islamist propaganda with leftist self-hate?
UPDATE: Talk about propaganda (as we do in the Comments): these photos show a Lebanese "civil defense worker" displaying the same children's corpses to different photographers at widely separated times of day, suggesting that the corpses were being used and manipulated to create propaganda shots.
