Did you notice that as Tony Soprano wanders around in his bardo state (in which he even got slapped by a Tibetan monk!), in his limbo of convention hotels, in his double alternate identity as a salesman with another saleman's ID, he looks a good bit younger and fresher?
Is that just acting and makeup, or did David Chase actually shoot these scenes several years ago?? Wouldn't that have been diabolical! How much of this whole arc did he have in mind from Day One? Or was it a left-over dream scene that got scrapped from some long-ago episode, like the "Captain Pike" story-within-a-story on the original "Star Trek"?
It provokes so many thoughts. What do you think of the notion that when we find ourselves suspended between life and death, it will be in the familiar no-man's-land of airports, bars, and convention hotels? Or is that just Tony's particular purgatory? Will we tote our "baggage" from this life in the form of a rolling carry-on? Does Tony look so fresh and bright-eyed as the relatively innocent family-loving salesman of his alternate life because his soul is, deep down, unsoiled by the sordidness and guilt of his mafioso life? Or because he wishes it could have been?
Great art in the box? Who'd a thunk it?

It's hard to tell where they are going with the show. The woman on the phone didn't sound like Carmella though. Ought to be an interesting season

In my nether state I will probably be in the previous post .... shovel in handlooking for the gold.
I don't try to guess what he is up to with this show, because I am always surprised anyway .... but, I think christopher is headed for a stint as Tony's Son-in-Law. re: subtle hand holding scene in the waiting room.????
